Lip syncing also killed a lot of bands' enthusiasm in studio performances too.

If you like LIVE vintage vids, search "old grey whistle test" or OGWT, a fairly endless supply of good stuff there.

For instance this performance of "Badge" by Clapton. I'm not a huge Clapton fan, but this is a great rendition, and i kinda like that lefternmost back up singer too!

DaveCan, sorry, but there most be something seriously wrong when people discover accidental views of Altecs while watching old clips of the Brady Bunch. :) (Or worse, that you remember the actual clip form the '60's.)

In a film (which can be seen on youtube) of Mitch Mitchell playing in Maui with that Hendrix guy there are a couple of Altec PA speakers behind Mitchell: 1202-1204 looking things. I've seen photos of Mitchell with 620 cabinets stacked behind his kit. In this film Cox and Hendrix also have the same Altecs AND EV Eliminators as monitors. The first folded horns I built were Eliminators from plans available from EV.

In this Maui film Mitchell is playing a very nice dark wood finish Gretsch kit with Rogers Swivomatic hardware.

Hmm, is it just me, or is the speaker much too short to be an A7?
